Thierry Henry est le joueur le mieux rémunéré de MLS en 2012. (MLS News.fr)La MLS Players Union a dévoilé la liste des salaires des joueurs du championnat nord-américain pour la saison 2012. Henry est désormais le mieux payé, devant Marquez et Beckham.

Thierry Henry a détrôné David Beckham en tête du classement des joueurs les mieux payés de MLS. Son coéquipier chez les New York Red Bulls, Rafael Marquez, devance lui aussi le Spice Boy, qui a renouvelé son contrat cet hiver et complète le podium. Parmi le top 10, on retrouve ses deux coéquipiers et joueurs désignés du Los Angeles Galaxy, l’Irlandais Robbie Keane et le local Landon Donovan. A noter aussi la présence des trois DP du Toronto FC, Torsten Frings, Julian de Guzman et Danny Koevermans. Kris Boyd, arrivé cet hiver aux Portland Timbers, fait son entrée au classement, fermé par un certain Eric Hassli, premier joueur désigné de l’histoire des Vancouver Whitecaps.

Pas tellement de surprises chez les Frenchies. Thierry Henry, joueur le mieux payé de MLS, devance largement un autre membre du Top 10, l’ex-Messin et Valenciennois Eric Hassli. L’ex-Grenoblois Laurent Courtois complète le podium, suivi de près par Aurélien Collin (Sporting Kansas City). Sébastien Le Toux (Vancouver Whitecaps), pourtant l’une des idoles du championnat nord-américain, n’est que cinquième, devant deux petits nouveaux, Saër Sène (New England Revolution) et l’ancien Marseillais Hassoun Camara (Impact de Montréal). Le rookie franco-américain du Philadephie Union, Antoine Hoppenot, ferme la marche avec le smic des footballeurs de MLS.


* Les salaires des joueurs sont représentés par deux chiffres: le salaire de base et le salaire avec compensation garantie. Ce dernier inclut le salaire de base et toutes les options et bonus garantis pour l’année. Par exemple, si un joueur a un salaire de base de 50 000 $ portant sur un contrat de deux ans et deux années supplémentaires en option et qu’il a reçu une prime à la signature de 10 000 $, son salaire avec compensation garantie sera de 52 500 $, puisque sa prime à la signature, considérée comme un bonus, aura été divisée par les quatre ans de contrat. Au contraire, les primes à la performance ne sont pas incluses dans aucun de ces salaires.

OK, so I don't have a Harvard MBA, just the Philadelphia-is sue kind. It would be great if someone could exiapln in non-sports-fan but cash-flow-liter ate terms just why it is that a professional sports team isn't expected to fund itself from ticket sales, media rights and maybe parking, concessions etc. Why do they always seem to demand public funds? If these are such terrific, well-loved cash cows, why ask Portlanders for a handout?Also, is this the business model that a top team like say Man U or Yankees runs on? If so, WHY?

I agree with Ron, Its the same thing as actual staging or taking pictures of a house with furniture and then moving out the furniture.Ive used virtual staging from virtualstagings olutions.com and I received tons of compliments from interested clients. People like to know what they can do with the room and it helps them see what it could actually look like when they are living there.The people that bought the listing actually contacted me after and asked where to get the furniture seen in the photos which was pretty cool because virtualstagings olutions.com uses furniture from Ashley furniture which you can actually go buy in the store.I also had the listing on the MLS without a problem. Partly because Virtual Staging Solutions has a good reputation and specifically says on their website that they will not modify any structure of the home or hide anything.Overall, I had a great experience and plan on using virtual staging again& I would recommend anyone to try it out.

The comments regarding the DOM issues realted to Case-Shiller vs. MLS listings is good work.However, the issue of repeated relisting of a house at lower prices somehow skews the numbers is in my opinion an accurate measure of the market. (More accurate than median sales since that number can be skewed upwards by expensive homes 0+ which are arguable in a separate market than starter or median priced homes)Looking back in time and ask how often houses get relisted a new lower prices. As I understand, this is considered a big no no in the market and most RE agents would counsel that the listing should be at the market. The fact that homes are being relisted at lower prices is the canary in the coal mine:10% down has already happened.Once spring sales start coming in even further below asking only then will the second relisting downward push occur in late summer and along with that more HELOCs get shut down.

She replies: I talked with Jim Harrison, president and CEO of MLS Listings Inc., which is based in Sunnyvale and which serves much of Northern California.He said that using a virtually staged photo in the areas covered by this MLS is not going to be any conflict with MLS rules.He said its no different from showing a photo of a home that has been staged with rented furniture and accessories. Were not selling the contents of a home, he said. Were selling the home.MLS rules would not allow a photo that has been altered to add a permanent feature thats not there or to eliminate one that is, he said. Thats similar to what the virtual stagers said  that they wouldnt alter a photo to eliminate flaws in a home or to add something thats not there.Different rules for different folks.

I think that 5K is much closer to the right number for August 2006 in Portland (bubble peak)Might be a good test to look back and see which index was more accurate during the bubble in 2005-2006& my guess asking prices (as they are the inside market)

I completely agree with you that the internet has become a prime source of searching for real estate. Recently, I was in search of my very own first home and ran into lots of helpful (and not so helpful) resources online. I wanted to get more information and be better educated when it came to real estate before meeting with a realtor. Many sites that I ran into would claim that I could search and use them anonymously, but usually asked me to fill out a form or asked for my information before giving me any kind of result. I became very skeptical but at the same time I still wanted to get information. Finally, a friend recommended a site called myhomelink.com, which had a lot of useful information. The great thing was that I could access their resources, search home listings, and find a realtor without giving them any kind of information. I even found my realtor by searching the listings on myhomelink.com. The property listings have direct contact info of the realtor who posted it. My understanding is that the site is pretty new and real estate professionals can list their listings on there for free. Im sure they have other useful tools on there for the professional, although my experience has only been from the consumer side of things. I would definitely recommend this site to consumers and professionals!
